In a nutshell
as a missions mobilizer, you have three roles:
- You are
a sower of vision.
Your primary job is to help people SEE what they haven't seen before. You
are to paint clearly the Bible's mission theme for them. To help them see
Holy Spirit activity in the world. To see geography, history, politics from
a GOD PERSPECTIVE ie. To help them see nations, peoples, tribes, and languages
in desperate need of the gospel in word and deed.
- You are
a mirror of passion.
People will recognize your unusual passion for God and desire a similar passion
in their own life. Passion breeds like passion. You received it from Christ,
and now it is yours to pass on to others. People will ponder your passion
for lost people and mirror that in their own life.
- You are
spokesman for the lost.
Recently AFM. received a fax from a tribe in Africa. They had
sent one of their men to the city to figure out how their people
could have a missionary
to teach them about the "Creator God." Rarely do the lost have a knowledge
of what they are missing and rarely do they have a spokesman who will make
their needs known. You are a voice for villages and tribes that can't make
their appeal for help in person.

Did you know that the staple food of the Alangan people on the Philippine island of Mindoro is a poisonous root that requires careful preparation before it is edible?
